BRIARCROFT is a neighborhood bounded by San Felipe, Westheimer and one block east of, and including Chimney Rock. Typical lots are over 9,000 square feet, and new construction is popping up all over the neighborhood. Residents are zoned to the highly-regarded Briargrove Elementary School. The school art is amazing! The original homes are one-story ranch style built in the 1950's. Streets perpendicular to Chimney Rock have very little traffic, because of the dead-end or horseshoe design of the streets. Mature oak trees dominate the landscape and provide shade and a sense of stability to the neighborhood. This community is just south of Tanglewood and is quite convenient to the Galleria area and Loop 610. This area is known as Uptown. And just north of San Felipe and Post Oak Blvd. is a shopping/residential area known as Uptown Park. Picture yourself home in Briarcroft!
